    Richard qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1990 from Glasgow Vet School and has worked in Stratford on Avon for nearly 30 years. He enjoys all aspects of small animal work, but is particularly keen on complex surgical cases. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and taking his boxer, Bobby, on long country walks – especially with a welcome beer at the end!

    Tracy joined the team in 2021 with a 25 year background in veterinary nursing, including spells at an equine hospital, small animal hospitals and emergency clinics. She is a busy mum of four sons, who have to share her with three horses, two King Charles spaniels and three cats! She is passionate about all things equine, from breeding to riding, and runs a veterinary physiotherapy service outside of work hours.

    Holly graduated from Nottingham University in 2021 and joined Ark later that year. She is particularly interested in multi-modal pain relief and small animal reproduction. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, crochet and spending time outdoors, and recently adopted a small kitten that was abandoned at the practice called Casper.

    Rachel Fielden

    Rachel graduated from Bristol University in 2008 and joined Ark 12 soon after. She has a particular interest in emergency and critical care, and geriatric health, as well as mentoring our new graduate vets. When not in practice, you may spot her running in Stratford and the surrounding countryside, and she enjoys running marathons around the world – even in the North Pole at -40 degrees!

    Xenia Farmerova

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Xenia qualified from the University of Veterinary Sciences in Brno in 2021 and joined Ark later that year. She has a particular interest in dentistry, diagnostic imaging and clinical pathology. She is an enthusiastic equestrian and competed in showjumping at a semi-professional level back at home, qualifying for the final of the EU Championships three times! In her spare time she enjoys spinning, yoga, reading and listening to music.

    Ella has been in the industry since 2010, and she joined Ark in 2019 after working through her qualifications at a practice in Leicester. She enjoys all aspects of her job but her real passion is emergency and critical care. At home she has a chocolate Labrador called Dora and a cat called Flo. In her spare time she enjoys long dog walks and crochet.

    Laura grew up wanting to work with animals, and started her career volunteering at Cats Protection, before committing to veterinary nursing. She joined the Ark team in 2015 and has since completed her qualifications. She is interested in all things feline, and is known as the mad cat lady – at home she has five cats and a sprocker to keep her busy!

    Student Nurse

    Lucy joined the team in 2019, after being inspired from staying on a horse stud and dairy farm while travelling in New Zealand. She is extremely passionate about animals and spends the majority of her spare time helping her boyfriend on the farm with the livestock. She has two crazy spaniels, Tilly and Wally, who she enjoys taking on holiday to Norfolk.

    Abbie Reynold-Dobson

    Animal Nursing Assistant

    Abbie joined the team in 2018, having grown up dreaming of a job working with animals. She is interested in canine training and behaviour, and in her spare time she competes with her seven dogs, winning competitions, including at Crufts, in agility, flyball, CaniX and heelwork to music.

    Animal Nursing Assistant

    Emma has always been passionate about animals, and worked at a dog groomers and a local pet shop before gaining a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science in 2014, joining Ark soon after. She is our work experience coordinator and enjoys helping others to get on the ladder for their career. She enjoys long countryside walks with her Lhasa Apso, Herbie, and looking after her rescued guinea pig, Toffee.

    Receptionist

    Andrea’s route to joining the team in 2008 took a variety of different turns, including roles at Feadon Farm Agricultural College and Newquay Zoo. She enjoys the challenging yet very rewarding position she has on reception, and loves the interaction with our clients, helping them and their pets in any way she can.

    Receptionist

    Lucinda joined the practice in 2017, and having always loved animals it was a perfect change of career and hugely rewarding after working on reception at a local car dealership. She loves nothing more than giving our patients a big fuss – especially puppy cuddles!  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as her springer spaniel, Murphy.

    Receptionist

    Sandra joined the team in 2011, after previously managing her own dog grooming studio, as well as spending time in the motor trade with Mercedes Benz. Outside work she enjoys looking after her dogs, guinea pigs and geese, as well as swimming and gardening.
